Montgomery is a growing community quietly nestled along both banks of the Fox River in Kane and Kendall Counties, just south of Aurora and about 40 miles west of Chicago.
One of Montgomery's finest assets is the Fox River and its surrounding park lands. The Village boasts one of the highest park-land-to-residents ratios in the Fox Valley, with more than 13 acres of parks per thousand population. Two park districts offer a wide variety of recreational facilities and activities, and an expanding network of bike trails connects Montgomery to surrounding communities.
Montgomery's residents are justifiably proud of their community, which offers well-tended homes, tree-lined streets, and businesses of every type. In recent years, Montgomery's population has grown to more than 15,500, and will continue to grow due to construction in several newly approved subdivisions. Despite this growth, Montgomery has maintained its warm, small-town atmosphere as a close-knit community where neighbors care about each other.
